Yeah Eastin!

Eastin is officially out of diapers!

YEAH!!! We have been working on this since the end of May, so it is SUPER exciting! At first Eastin wanted to use the potty and Kyle and I were very hesitant about it. We were concerned she might not be ready yet, but gave it a shot anyway. To make a long story short, it seemed like Eastin wanted to use the potty, but only when she felt like it...not all the time. What motivated Addi didn't motivate Eastin, so this was a completely new experience for us. We reached a point where we felt like we were pushing her more than she wanted this, so we put her back in diapers. We told her that when she was ready to go potty all the time on the potty chair, we would let her try it again. I don't know if she understood what we were trying to tell her, but during this whole situation Addi needed some new underwear because she is growing into quite a big girl! She wanted the Tangled underwear, so we got that for her. BINGO! Eastin was ready to go potty all the time on the potty chair if she could have Tangled underwear too. We made a deal that if she didn't have any accidents for an entire day, we would get her Tangled underwear. It sounded like a great strategy and it was working. Eastin was getting pretty close to having no accidents consistently, so it was time to go get the Tangled underwear. The only problem with this is that THEY DON'T MAKE TANGLED UNDERWEAR IN SIZE 2T! I looked for it everywhere, none at Walmart, none at Target, none at Marshalls, AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! So we tried to talk her into picking another type of underwear out. Nope, not interested. So lesson learned, make sure you know that whatever you promise your child is available.
Since her heart was set on Tangled, we surprised her with the Tangled dress. We felt guilty because we promised something we couldn't deliver on, lesson learned! She was so excited about the dress though, so I hope she doesn't hold this little boo boo against us for the rest of her life! :)
She wanted to dance in her Tangled dress. :) So cute!
