The girls had a ton of fun with Grandma, Papa, and Kolby this weekend, but they were TIRED when they left. The girls took a nap at 4:30 and didn't get up until 7:30, so we had a late dinner of popcorn on the porch!
The girls were so excited about bringing their chairs outside and eating popcorn with Mom & Dad.
We were even lucky enough to get to see some fireworks. One of our neighbors was setting fireworks off in the street and the girls thought that was awesome! They kept telling us that they liked the sparkles.
Sitting behind the girls and taking in everything from the night was really special. It was one of those nights you want to last forever. None of it was planned, but it ended up to be a perfect night! Life goes by so fast and it was really great just taking in the moment as a family.
The best part of the night though was walking past the girls room and seeing Kyle sitting with them at the window. After the neighbors came back from seeing the city fireworks, they set off more fireworks, so Kyle went back in their room and they sat on his lap and watched the rest of the fireworks through the windows that he and Papa just put in! Couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening! God is good!
