This last weekend we went down to the lake with my family and had an awesome time. I love the lake and have so many great memories as a kid going there. It is fun bringing the girls down there and having them experience some of the same things. We spent the weekend fishing, going on walks, finding turtles, grilling and eating outside, sitting on the dock, and a little fun in the lake (the water was super cold though so none of us actually took the plunge and went swimming).
Eastin fishing with her Daddy. They caught a small catfish early on Saturday morning together. The girls were super excited about the catfish. Addi told me all about how the hook was stuck in his nose, but Daddy got it off and let the fish go back in the lake.
Eastin posing with her fish that she caught. Papa is so proud!

Saturday night after we put the girls to bed we went down to fish at night. We didn't catch anything but Papa left 3 lines out and ended up with this catfish on his line Sunday morning. As soon as the girls saw the fish they quickly exclaimed that the catfish had gotten so much bigger. They thought it was the same one they caught early on Saturday. They were shocked at how much bigger it had already gotten. Addi told us that it would get as big as both of her arms the next time we catch it.
Eastin was the only one that would touch the fish. Addi wanted nothing to do with it.
On the way up to the house, Eastin stopped, put both of her arms out and told us that she needed to be paid, "real money" in order to get by. Where does she come up with this? Three is awful young to be pulling that kind of stunt. :)
Precious little London just slept most of the weekend. What a pretty little girl. I love being an Aunt!
Addi making silly faces going down to the dock.
Eastin dipping her feet into the water and splashing around. This was as much as they got in the water all weekend. Too cold!!!!
Addi dipping her feet in as well. They would hold on to the ladder and splash their feet around. It was pretty cute.
Grandma and her little girls just hanging out on the dock.
We went on a walk and found this awesome turtle. This brought back so many memories for me because we always used to "turtle hunt." We would look for turtles then bring them home to have as pets. My Mom hated this.....but always supported us and the turtles. The girls named him many different things. Mikey (from Michaelangelo the Ninja Turtle), Ninja, and Crabby Snabby. I love how their creative minds work. Such special little girls.
You can see that Addi wasn't super pumped about touching the turtle.
Eastin had NO PROBLEM touching the turtle, picking him up, playing with him, swaying him around, etc.... She loved handling him.
We told her that she needed to let Mikey/Ninja/Crabby Snabby go, so she took him outside and let him go back to his family.
It was a fun weekend. We are so blessed to have the opportunity to go to the lake with our family.

What a great time! Love the pictures! Eastin cracks me up!
