Yesterday was Adeline's 4th birthday and what a day it was! The day started off with a room full of birthday decorations. She was so excited about all the balloons in her room.
Kyle stayed home with us a little longer then usual so he could fix her purple pancakes with chocolate chips in them! :) Yummy! She has balloons taped to her chair and a special birthday cake placemat. She thought she was pretty special. (Which she is!!!) I have a bible study on Monday mornings, so she got to go and play with all her little friends from church and then we headed home for a quick bite to eat. She LOVES going to the movie theatre and has only been a couple times, so we thought it would be fun to take her to a movie during the day yesterday. Aunt Emmi and Darrin joined us and we went to see the Smurfs movie. Sidenote: IT WAS HORRIBLE....but she loved every second of it, which was encouraging. It was truly painful to sit through. I wish there would have been some better kids movies out at the less expensive theatre...but oh well!
We had a small get together with Grandma & Papa Bearden, Aunt Emmi, Darrin, and Uncle Kyle. Katie and Caleb stopped by to tell Addi, "Happy Birthday", so we got a quick photo before they had to go. The Lovell's and our neighbors across the street also came over to enjoy some cake and sing to Addi.

Quote of the night: Addi was watching me put the candles in the cake for her and she said, "How about you fire those up so I can (making a blowing noise and face)!" So funny!

Before the night was through, the girls thought they needed to put on their halloween costumes. (Yes, Eastin did pick out a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costume if you were wondering.) What fun night isn't complete without a little dress up action??? Eastin decided to sit in one of the shoeboxes and wanted Kyle to carry her around in it. It was quite comical! You can see the box couldn't quite hold the growing girl. Anyone else notice Kyle's sweet mustache in this awesome picture????

The highlight of the night was the conclusion of the evening. The girls wanted to pop the balloons that had been used as decorations in their room earlier. It was absolutely hilarious. They weren't quite heavy enough to pop them, so they would just bounce and bounce and bounce on them while the balloons did all sorts of weird contortions.
All in all I think it was a success! :)
